Linn County Dog Control statutes allow for greater control over dogs than general Oregon dog statutes in ORS 609.

• It is unlawful for dogs to run at large in Linn County. Any Peace Officer or Dog Control Officer may impound a dog that is found running at large.
• It is also unlawful in Linn County to allow your dog to be a public nuisance (See Linn County Code 560.410)
• A dog in considered a public nuisance under Linn County Code 560.410 if it does the following
  • Chases vehicles
  • Damages other people’s property
  • Trespasses on the property of others
  • Runs at Large
  • Disturbs people by frequent and prolonged noises
